Linwell Cairns

Our Litters

Linda holding 5 week old puppy

At Linwell Cairns, we breed only 1 - 2 times per year. On the average, we receive at least 5 requests per week for puppies. We are in the fortunate position of being able to be very selective when placing our babies. Most litters have a waiting list before they are born. If you are interested in meeting us and our dogs, and getting more information about a Linwell puppy, please give us a call. You will be asked a lot of questions and invited to visit to meet us and our Cairns before any commitments are made. We do not, under any circumstances, sell puppies to people whom we have not met and approved, nor do we make arrangements to place our puppies via the internet.

All our litters are home raised and well socialized, and our dogs live in the house not in a kennel. The cost of a puppy will include one or two sets of vaccines (depending on the age of the puppy when you take him/her home) and the implantation of a microchip. Our puppies are examined by a veterinarian, and registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. Official CKC papers are included with the purchase.

We use only champion dogs in our breeding programme. This means the dogs being bred have been judged and proven correct examples of the Cairn Terrier standard according to the Canadian Kennel Club. A great deal of thought and research goes into each breeding, pedigrees of male and female are studied to see which dogs are behind the pair and questions are asked as to what genetic anomalies may be in the background, before a mating is decided upon. With each breeding we hope to produce a better dog, so there is always a goal behind the mating of any of our females. We are striving to keep our dogs healthy, happy and structurally sound.

We stand behind every puppy we bring into this world, and we expect our puppy buyers to stay in contact for the life of the dog. Many of our puppy people have become family friends, and many of them are into their second, third or fourth Linwell Cairn Terrier.
